    On May 23, the Wanzhou District of Chongqing announced the successful signing of three major projects at the 7th Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT), with a total investment of RMB10 billion. These projects span the power/thermal energy supply and food processing sectors, injecting robust momentum into regional high-quality development. Among them, a 9-billion-yuan integrated energy development project will construct two 1,000-MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired power generation units along with supporting port facilities. It will also include desulfurization and denitrification systems (meeting standards below ultra-low emissions) and a 500,000-ton coal storage yard, aiming to build an efficient and clean energy supply system. The 500-million-yuan second-phase cogeneration project in Chongqing Wanzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone's Jiulong Park will add an 800-ton high-temperature, ultra-high-pressure coal-fired boiler and an 80-MW extraction back-pressure power generation unit. This initiative will enhance the park's energy infrastructure, providing stable and efficient energy support for industrial enterprises and boosting the park's industrial competitiveness. It will establish production lines for rice and rapeseed processing, along with supporting storage, logistics, and trade facilities.
