The 7th WCIFIT | Over 1,700 Attend "Chengdu-Chongqing Twin Cities" Joint Talent Recruitment Fair, 561 Reach Preliminary Employment Agreements
"I prepared seven resumes today, and to my surprise, I received an interview invitation from the very first company I applied to, scheduled for next Monday! I feel so lucky!" said Liao Junfeng, a fresh graduate from Chongqing Technology and Business University, excitedly around 9:30 a.m. on May 24.
That same day, the "Chengdu-Chongqing Twin Cities" Joint Talent Recruitment Fair was held at the Chongqing International Expo Center.

With over 3,900 job vacancies on offer, the event attracted more than 1,700 job seekers, collected 2,536 resumes, and resulted in 561 on-site preliminary employment agreements, underscoring the deepening resonance of industry and talent in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle.

Resonance of industry and talent
A total of 123 companies planned to recruit over 3,900 professionals
The event focused on Chongqing's "33618" modern manufacturing cluster system and the "416" technology innovation layout, gathering 123 key employers such as CCTEG Chongqing Research Institute, Chongqing Aerospace Electromechanical Design Institute, and QingLing Motors (Group) Co., Ltd., collectively offering over 3,900 job vacancies.
At the venue, reporters observed dedicated recruitment zones such as the "Chengdu Area", "Jiulongpo Area", "Mantianxing Area", "State-owned Enterprises and Public Institutions Area", "Intelligent Manufacturing Area", and "Comprehensive Area". These zones covered key and emerging industries including intelligent manufacturing, semiconductor chips, intelligent connected new energy vehicles, artificial intelligence, and biomedicine.
"We are recruiting for highly specialized positions this time, with strong demand for both college graduates and experienced professionals," said a recruitment officer from a semiconductor company in Chongqing. She added that the company came with sincere intentions to attract talent, offering well-established promotion pathways and comprehensive training programs.
Within just one hour, she received over 50 resumes, "more than half of which were closely related to our specialized fields. This precise matching far exceeded our expectations!" In her view, the targeted talent invitations at this event significantly improved recruitment efficiency.

Reporters observed that many emerging positions such as "Digital Twin Engineers" and "Industrial Big Data Analysts" were available on-site, with monthly salaries generally exceeding RMB20,000. Mr. Chen, a recent graduate from Chongqing University, secured a job offer from an industrial internet firm. "I majored in IoT Engineering, and there were quite a few relevant companies here offering top-tier salaries."
Twin cities collaboration
Building a talent magnet zone
This event, a new model of collaboration between Chengdu and Chongqing, invited 20 employers from Sichuan and set up a dedicated "Chengdu Area" at the venue, offering 942 job openings. By deepening talent cooperation and aligning recruitment policies more precisely, the event contributed to the integrated development of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle.
"With the geographical proximity and decreasing regional barriers between Chengdu and Chongqing, we came to recruit talent in Chongqing. Many policies between the two cities are now interconnected, which is very favorable for our talent acquisition," said Mr. Li, a recruitment representative from a Chengdu-based company. His firm is currently hiring for engineering positions that are well aligned with the specialties of Chongqing graduates.
In recent years, the human resources and social security departments of both Sichuan and Chongqing have been jointly developing a series of distinctive talent service brands such as "Wisdom Converges in Bashu", "Talent Thrives in Sichuan and Chongqing", and collaborative programs like "Private Enterprises Talent Recruitment Month", "Chengdu Talents' Day", "National Key Universities Talent Tour", and "Joint Talent Recruitment in Western China".
Inviting Sichuan employers to participate locally while organizing Chongqing employers to recruit externally has effectively promoted the rational flow and efficient aggregation of talent between the two regions. Together, more than 2,800 employers have been engaged, offering nearly 70,000 job openings, receiving 86,000 resumes, and successfully recruiting over 20,000 talents through coordinated efforts.
"Ahead, we will further deepen talent recruitment cooperation, optimize the joint outbound recruitment model between the two regions, and jointly build a regional talent exchange brand to attract high-end resources," said a representative from Chongqing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. The bureau also plans to promote cross-regional talent services with seamless processing across locations, improve the management requirements, standards, and procedures for personnel file services of mobile workers, and establish a standardized system for managing personnel records related to mobile talent.

Digital Empowerment
Enabling more talent to "fly southwest"
One of the highlights of this event was the in-depth application of the "Yucaihui" talent work digital platform.
Currently, "Yucaihui" focuses on four key areas: talent recruitment and development, services, development support, and intelligent governance. It features one database, one map, one index, six service scenarios, and three governance scenarios. The platform is already in use across 41 districts and counties, facilitating the handling of over 38 multi-departmental cases through the city's tier-three governance centers, the highest number citywide, continuously enhancing the digital capability of talent managers and providing strong digital support for building Western China's talent hub and innovation highland.
"Yucaihui" employs a "directory + scoring" talent recognition mechanism, offering a full range of exclusive services, including innovation and entrepreneurship support, financial assistance, and living services, to recognized talents, effectively addressing their concerns. In 2024, 5,912 talents were directly recognized through this mechanism, attracting 84,000 talents of various types, a year-on-year increase of 14.1%.
At the event, a dedicated "Yucaihui" digital service zone was set up, where recruiters could scan QR codes on-site to apply for scoring recognition. Talents who completed the self-assessment received a "scoring recognition experience code", granting them access to services such as "Didi Taxi", "Talent Pool", and "One Million Talents Boost Chongqing (Job Recommendation)".
Additionally, the "Yucaihui" digital platform demonstrates powerful "intelligent matching" capabilities by accurately aggregating talent demand, job vacancies, and supply data from key industries in the city. Candidates can scan a QR code to input their information, and the AI-driven matching engine instantly pairs them with suitable job opportunities, enabling efficient "one-on-one" connections on-site.
In recent years, Chongqing has continuously improved the quality and efficiency of talent recruitment by aligning closely with national strategic development priorities and focusing on key local industries. Through a combination of "online + offline" integration, "going out + inviting in" initiatives, and the blend of "public + market" approaches, the city has been building the "One Million Talents Boost Chongqing" recruitment brand.
By 2024, Chongqing has organized 1,374 talent recruitment events, served 32,300 employers, released 751,300 job vacancies, received 1,035,600 resumes, achieved 461,600 employment intentions, and attracted 69,200 talents.
Simultaneously, the city has expanded talent recruitment channels by establishing 17 talent service stations, appointing 13 talent service ambassadors, and setting up 1,080 recruitment officers covering 846 employers.
A representative from Chongqing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau stated that moving forward, efforts will continue to strengthen the labor market supply-demand connection between Sichuan and Chongqing, promote the reasonable flow and efficient aggregation of various talents, and attract more outstanding professionals to work and start businesses in Chongqing, supporting the city's goal of "pleasing those nearby and attracting those from afar".
